Summary

The mission will introduce U.S. clean energy private equity and venture capital fund managers with  potential investors from Germany.

This trade mission has been certified by the U.S. Department of Commerce.  The mission is organized by Katsof Energy Consulting as the official certified trade mission organizer in partnership with The U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. Consulate in Frankfurt, Deutsche Bank, and SAIL Venture Partners. The mission is supportive of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Export Initiative, the only industry-specific export strategy announced in support of President Obama’s National Export Initiative.

Certified Trade Missions and similar events coordinated in partnership with the US Commerce Department have attracted top funds from the US.  Click here to see some of the funds who have attended in the past.

 

Who May Attend

Attendees must be invited to participate in this mission.  Invitees represent a select group of top U.S. private equity and venture capital fund managers with investments in clean energy.

 

Overview

The Mission will provide:

  • An opportunity to meet 30-50 German investors individually selected by Deutsche Bank.
  • One-on-one meetings with German investors, scheduled and coordinated by Deutsche Bank and Katsof Energy Consulting.
  • A forum to exchange ideas and strategies with German investors, other U.S.-based fund managers, and policy-makers from both Germany and the United States.

The number of fund manager participants is strictly limited to maximize the level of overall access and one-on-one meeting opportunities with the institutional investors. It is expected that the delegation will be selected in full by September 15, 2012.

 

Mission Objectives

Introducing German clean energy investors to US funds:  Provide German institutional investors with introductions to leading U.S.- based clean energy private equity and venture capital fund managers.

Deutsche Bank will select at least 10 to 15 carefully qualified potential investors in Munich and Frankfurt from the following segments who will be represented in the program:
